Erm, Netflix might’ve just dropped its wildest show yet, so what is All the Sharks?!
It's giving Pokémon vibes
Ok, so Shark Week is well on its way, and this summer it looks like Netflix is sinking its teeth into all the deep-sea drama as All the Sharks is arriving on July 4. Carving out a whole new avenue for shark-related series, All the Sharks is actually a competition show, combining a reality TV staple with wildlife wholesomeness. So, let’s get into it. What’s the show all about? Apparently the contestants have got to catch them all?!
All the Sharks features a huge prize

All the Sharks is a brand new Netflix series that’s combining passion, high-level expertise, a race against time, and a hefty prize pot.
The team that gains the most points during the show earns a cash prize of $50,000, which they can donate to a marine charity of their choice.
The aim of the game?! Well, teams of shark experts have their work cut out. They have to find and photograph as many different shark species as possible.
Across six episodes, the contestants cover the seas from the Pacific to the Caribbean, where they come face-to-face with some critically endangered and usually misunderstood fish.
The contestants are shark experts

Four teams of shark experts are taking part in All the Sharks season one.
They adventure across six locations with one mission: Find and photograph as many sharks as possible.
They’ve got big respect for sharks, they’ve got determination, and the teams are made up of contestants from many walks of life.
Some are marine biologists, and their skills are being put to the ultimate test.
Tom ‘Blowfish’ Hird is a marine biologist and host of the show.
Randy Thomas, Rosie Moore, Aliah Banchik, MJ Algarra, Dan Abbott, Sarah Roberts, Brendan Talwar and Chris Malinowski are just some of the contestants joining him in season one.
It’s giving Pokémon vibes

During All the Sharks, every species caught on camera earns you points.
The idea is that the rarer the shark is, the more points you earn – very Pokémon-esque!
The series will showcase sharks that look like snakes but can actually walk, tiger sharks, Hammerheads, and many more species that Netflix describes as “incredible creatures that are more vital to our planet now more than ever.”
