Shelly speaks out on Dayton being cut from DCC and why she won’t audition anywhere else

Shelly has just spoken out on Dayton being cut from Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. She revealed why her daughter won’t be auditioning for any other teams, and followed up with how Dayton is doing after the big rejection from a place she trained so hard for.
Shelly speaks out on Dayton being cut from DCC
Shelly has finally broken her silence on Dayton being cut from DCC. She wrote in a Facebook community post, “Dayton is fine. She was encouraged to come back this year, train, and did all of the things asked of her. It just wasn’t in the cards… that is OK.”
“That gives a very clearcut answer that DCC is absolutely not for her. We faithfully know that God has a plan; it’s all in His hands and timing. This chapter is closed. She has something brighter on the horizon,” Shelly continued.
She reveals why Dayton won’t audition elsewhere
Despite people urging Dayton to audition for another cheerleading team, Shelly says her daughter won’t go elsewhere. She wrote, “She’s never trying out for another team. She is a born and raised Dallas Cowboys fan, so going to another team is not and was never a thought.”
“To those that say she had every advantage… How fair would that be to everyone else auditioning if I provided her with absolutely every bit of material prior to any audition or training camp? She wouldn’t want to be given anything just “because”,” Shelly added.
She continued: “I saw a post that said I had “no right“ to be mad, and I should have “never let her audition“. Please don’t assume to know what I am going through. In our house we have always encouraged, embraced, supported, in all ways possible, our kids’ dreams.”
“That’s what we do as parents, right? It’s important to remember you only see a glimpse of what every girl goes through. There is so much more to each girl than what is presented on TV. They are talented, driven hard workers with many facets…not just dance,” Shelly wrote.
