When it comes to the Met Gala, people take it super seriously. But when it comes to Kim Kardashian and the Met Gala, things are on another level. The reality TV star has previously explained how she got so nervous for the event that it almost felt like her own wedding day. So, naturally, when things don’t quite go as planned on the red carpet, she’s likely distraught. This year, Kim wasn’t the only victim to having a mishap at the Met Gala. More celebrities have had some shockingly disastrous fashion faux pas, too.

Kim Kardashian’s near-trip

Kim Kardashian is a seasoned pro when it comes to walking the blue carpet at the Met Gala.

But, even she almost fell victim to a big faux pas this year as she was almost tripped up.

A Met Gala guard accidentally stood on Kim’s dress, which could’ve ended in total disaster.

Despite her bubbly demeanour, behind the scenes, Kylie was suffering from a big fashion mishap.

The mom of two was stuck in her stilettos, literally.

Zendaya and Anna were twinning

Well, poor Zendaya and Anna Sawai did turn up to the Met Gala in near-identical looks this year.

Both wore full-length white suits with matching hats. But, thankfully, they were technically different, Zendaya’s was Louis Vuitton, and Anna’s was Dior.

Throwing it back to 2018 and Selena Gomez made a classic blunder in the beauty department.

She rocked up to the Met Gala hoping to glow like never before.

But, it turned out to be a big self-tan fail as she explained to Glamour UK that her lotion “kept getting darker and darker.”

She eventually had to leave asap before it continued to develop.

In 2014, Hayden Panettiere took a tumble when she tripped on her dress going up the iconic stairs at the event.

Kylie Jenner’s last-minute zipper

In 2018, Kylie Jenner was walking the Met Gala red carpet with her then-beau, Travis Scott.

She appeared cool, calm, and collected, but prior to stepping out onto the carpet, it was chaos in the fashion department.

Kylie had to have a zipper fitted on the side of her dress just before she was due to pose in front of the whole world.

She explained on an Instagram Story: “fun fact: this dress wasn’t supposed to have a zipper but it ripped as i was squeezing into it so we added it on the way out the door .. but it worked out and i loved it.”

Kim Kardashian’s pearl meltdown

Kim Kardashian’s “beachy” dress from the 2023 Met Gala is one that’ll likely go down in history.
