The whopping amount The Traitors cast got paid proves they never needed the prize money
This is genuinely absurd
The salaries for the cast of The Traitors season three have been revealed, and if anything all it proves is that they most certainly didn’t need any of the prize money.
For those that won season three of the show, they had to split $204,000 between the four of them before choosing what to spend their prize money on.

Ultimately, each of the winners ended up with about $51,000 before tax, which whilst still a very generous amount is considerably lower than other reality TV shows.
Shows such as Survivor offer a one million dollar prize, whilst Deal or No Deal Island could land contestants a whopping five million, but as all the celebrities on The Traitors are all pretty loaded already I don’t feel too bad for them.
However, as it turns out they also got paid a hefty salary to appear on The Traitors at all, and the US Sun revealed how much they could have been given for their presence.

According to a production source, the contestants are paid a “one-time appearance fee” that is “significantly higher” than the pay CBS, MTV and other networks give the players.
They revealed: “The gamers are Peacock’s number one priority and they build the season around getting the best gamers first, and cast everyone else around that.
“The top gamers, like Parvarti, Boston Rob, Sandra Diaz-Twine, Dan Gheesling and Wes Bergmann get paid the most.
“Their appearance fee is around $200k but depending on their contract and popularity, someone like Boston Rob will get as much as $300k. Lesser-known players still get paid well, they’ll get roughly $75-100k.”

The source continued: “The contestants don’t even really care about the money from the prize pot, it’s more about bragging rights and all the opportunities that come with winning the show.
“Such as NBCUni booking them for appearances on other shows and events. They get treated like royalty.
“NBCUni spoils them way more than the other networks. They always fly the contestants first class which the other shows do not do.
“Once you get a taste of that Peacock money and treatment, it’s hard to want to go on any other network.”
Well, now I’m thinking none of them really needed that prize money after all then!
