Everything Brittany Cartwright has said about Jax Taylor’s addiction admission so far
'I'm working through it'
Vanderpump Rules alums Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor met a whopping 10 years ago. After four years of dating, they got married in 2019. But, sadly the two opted to go their separate ways in February last year. Now, Jax has publicly spoken of dealing with an addiction during their relationship. And, Brittany is taking to her socials to respond to his admission.

Brittany breaks her silence on Jax’s admission
Speaking on Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast this March, Jax admitted to being “having substance issues.”
He continued: “Primarily with cocaine.”
The father of one paused before adding: “That’s hard to say out loud.”
It’s the first time he’s publicly spoken about his battle with addiction.
He told listeners he’s “OK” and “working through it,” adding: “I’m just excited to see what happens.”
Jax is 83 days sober after seeking help following his separation from his ex Brittany Cartwright.
After Jax made his addiction admission, Brittany broke her silence, giving a statement to People.
She said: “I’m glad that he finally admitted to what was really going on… I pray that one day he completely knocks this addiction but I’m skeptical. His behaviours are still alarming and his treatment plan seems to be the bare minimum. I have very little trust in him at this point, my only hope is that one day he will be a better person for his son.”

Brittany takes to Instagram about Jax
Brittany then took to Instagram after her official statement.
She gave some further context of her experience via her IG Stories, writing:
“His addiction unfortunately has done irreparable damage to my son and I. I’ve spent years trying to help him. I wish more than anyone I could say how proud I am of him today but I’d be lying. His actions will speak for themselves.”
She added: “And to those asking why I stayed if I knew he had a problem all these years: You can’t help who you fall in love with. I’ve done absolutely everything in my power to get him the help he desperately needed.
“Unfortunately, I was naive and believed the empty promises and his pleads to change for years. Once you have a child with someone it’s not easy to leave.
“It took everything in my power to gather the strength to walk away. For those that have been through similar, you get it. For those that question me, that’s okay. I’m in a much better place now.”
