All the hints made by Meghan Markle on why she stopped lifestyle blog The Tig
She decided to shut it down in 2017
Meghan Markle has just launched her new Netflix show With Love, Meghan. It’s an ode for long-time readers of Harry’s wife’s old lifestyle blog, The Tig, which Meghan wrote until she decided to just stop posting.
What was Meghan Markle’s lifestyle blog?
Meghan: My husband met me when I had The Tig, and I see this spark in his eye when he sees me doing the thing that I was doing when he first met me.

Meghan wrote a lifestyle blog called The Tig from 2014 until 2017, when she was appearing on shows like Suits. But when she met Harry, she decided to stop posting on it and shut the whole thing down.
Her friend, Silver Tree, described it on Netflix doc Harry & Meghan and said: “When she first was describing [the blog] to me, she was like, ‘It’s your best friend telling you all the fun things you wish you knew about in one place.'”
When she announced her new brand, As Ever, Meghan said: “As Ever essentially means as it’s always been, and if you’ve followed me since 2014 with The Tig, you know I’ve always loved cooking and crafting and gardening.”
She added: “This is what I do. And I haven’t been able to share it with you in the same way for the past few years, but now I can.” Basically, it was a written form of what she does on her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan.
Just before Meghan got married to Prince Harry, she stopped posting on her lifestyle blog. She is believed to have made around $80K through endorsements and branding sponsors on her lifestyle blog!
Before shutting it down, there would be loads of updates from Meghan’s own personal life, as well as topics including restaurants, travel, fashion and cooking, rather than anything about the acting industry.
She hinted that she stopped because of Harry
Meghan revealed that she was prioritizing Harry over the blog. She told People: “Well, I loved The Tig, but I certainly love my husband more. So that was a choice I made at the time, and I wouldn’t change that for a second.”
She alluded to the fact she was unable to continue her lifestyle blog after becoming a member of the British royal family, as per Hello. She also said to People: “My husband met me when I had The Tig.”
Meghan added: “I see this spark in his eye when he sees me doing the thing that I was doing when he first met me.” And everyone who followed the lifestyle blog couldn’t forget that really sad farewell.
She wrote: “What began as a passion project (my little engine) evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun and frivolity. You’ve made my days brighter and filled this experience with so much joy.”
“Keep finding Tig moments of discovery, keep laughing and taking risks, and keep being ‘the change you wish to see in the world.’ Above all, don’t ever forget your worth – as I’ve told you time and time again: you are enough.”
