Love Island USA may have launched after the original UK version, but the Islanders across the pond appear to be capturing more attention these days than their British counterparts. The Peacock show has been raking in the viewers this summer and Kaylor Martin and Aaron Evans were one of the couples bringing drama to the episodes.
As Love Island USA season 6 wraps up this July, many of the contestants are reflecting on their time spent in the villa. Fans are hoping some couples, such as JaNa and Kenny, work out. But, others are skeptical about Aaron Evans and Kaylor Martin’s future. Kaylor chats with Nick Viall on his podcast this July and dishes on her “regret” from the Peacock series.
Kaylor understands Nick’s ‘least favorite part’
Sitting down on The Viall Files with Nick Viall this July, Kaylor revealed some of her “regrets” from her time on Love Island USA.
Nick told her his “least favorite part” of her scenes on the show was when she told Aaron: “I can’t be mad at you.”
He continued: “It was the opposite of the strength we saw. You don’t even realize, you’re telling him in the future that when he has a choice between considering your feelings or considering his, he knows you’re going to forgive him…”
Despite saying Aaron “seems great,” Nick added how the Love Island USA star appears “kind of used to having people not stay mad at him.”
Love Island USA star ‘regrets’ her behavior
Comparing how the USA viewers would see Kaylor and Aaron’s relationship versus winners Kordell Beckham and Serena Page’s romance, Kaylor said how she totally gets why they would be the public’s favorites.
Kordell also had a few slip-ups along the way in his relationship but Kaylor says he “took ownership” of anything that went down in the Casa Amor episodes.
She adds: “Also, Serena gave him a little bit of a run for his money and I gave in really quickly and it think that America watching was like ‘…you folded really quick.”
Kaylor continued to add how she wanted to be an example for girls at home going through similar things: “I don’t want to be someone who just gives in…”
However, she said: “In the villa, it’s really hard to do that… it was hard to stay mad at him also because he was one of my best friends in there. He’s who I would go to about everything.
“I’m definitely in regret that I didn’t give him a harder time and I held him more accountable…”.
