Pickle Wheat’s baby’s father isn’t on the Swamp People cast. The History show returned to screens on January 4, 2024. However, Joshua Kippes didn’t join Pickle while she hunted for alligators.
Since Pickle Wheat joined the Swamp People team, she’s quickly become a fan favorite. The star was romantically linked to co-star Chase Landry until they appeared to split in 2020. Later that year, Pickle made her relationship with Joshua Kippes public, who she welcomed a baby girl with.

Pickle Wheat’s baby father is Joshua Kippes, who is not her husband despite the rumors. In November 2022, the reality star shared the happy news she and Joshua were having a baby together.
On January 2, 2023, they posted another image on Facebook with ultrasound images that read: “Many of you may already know but if not, here’s some big news!! We have a little lady coming in May!!”
Joshua prefers to keep his life private but often appears on Pickle’s Instagram page. In October 2023, Pickle said he “finally took her on a date” before adding, “We’re going hunting season.”
Joshua Kippes works in medical care
Joshua Kippes is an emergency medical technician based in New Orleans, Louisiana. So although he often heads on the gator hunting season with Pickle, he’s got a totally different job.
He works for New Orleans EMS. Joshua is definitely open to the hunting lifestyle when he’s not at work though, as Pickle helped him slay his first beast, which they shared on Instagram.
Inside Joshua’s family life
Joshua has a child from a former relationship with a woman called Rachel. The dad-of-two split from Rachel in 2020 before he began dating Pickles, who he welcomed a first child with in April 2023.
They called their baby girl Maemi, who arrived safely. Joshua and Pickle are close with both of his children, and spent Mardi Gras with Joshua’s son in February 2023.
Joshua and Pickle have already started showing their daughter the ropes in the hunting industry, as she held a BB gun with her father. Pickle said Maemi will be a “force to be reckoned with.”
