90 Day Fiance season 8 followed seven couples as they took their international online relationships to reality but not all of them ended like a fairytale.
Long distance romances are hard but documenting every aspect for TV? That’s even harder. Nevertheless, 90 Day Fiance season 8 had a good run with a success rate of over 50 per cent. Four out of seven couples are still going strong in 2024 while others have focused on their career in the entertainment industry.
90 Day Fiance season 8: Where are they now?
Andrew and Amira
Daycare worker Andrew Kenton fell for French-Egyptian Amira Lollyosa online and quickly became engaged during her trip to Las Vegas. Their whirlwind romance faced troubles over disagreements about family plans and Covid complications.
Pandemic travel restrictions meant Amira couldn’t visit the US so the pair planned to quarantine in Mexico first but Amira was detained and deported back to Saumur, France. The TLC couple later decided to quarantine in Serbia but arguments over their future family saw Amira fly back to her hometown instead.
Amira has since moved to Los Angeles, California, the same state as her former fiance, to pursue modeling, dancing, and acting. During Thanksgiving 2022, the 31-year-old confirmed she was loved up with her Mr Right but her Instagram has kept any new dating information private.
Andrew, meanwhile, has been focused on his weight loss journey and spoiling his niece and nephew.
Brandon and Julia
Brandon Gibbs of Virginia proposed to Russian native Julia Trubkina during their first IRL meeting in Iceland. Julia agreed to live with her conservative in-laws on their farm after tying the knot in April 2020.
Three years on, the couple are happier than ever and regularly documents their travels on social media. Brandon updated fans in June 2023 that they are not looking to start a family anytime soon as Julia is not ready, but they are parents to an adorable German shepherd.
The pair further shared their love story on several spinoffs, including Happily Ever After season 6, 90 Day Bares All, and 90 Day Daires seasons 3 and 4.
Jovi and Yara
Jovi Dufrene and Yara Zaya are another TLC success story. Zaya unexpectedly fell pregnant during the early stages of the relationship and Jovi later popped the question. They unfortunately suffered a miscarriage but later welcomed their daughter, Mylah, in September 2020.
There was trouble in paradise for the Dufrenes as they appeared on 90 Day: The Last Resort to heal issues revolving around trust, intimacy, and jealousy. Yara admitted on the show that she secretly took birth control without Jovi’s knowledge over fears of another pregnancy.
They were able to work through the issues and are still together in 2024.
Mike and Natalie
Season 8 saw the return of Mike Youngquist and Natalie Mordovtseva after a messy season 7. During the tell-all, Natalie accused her fiance of cheating on her with his female friend, which he denied. Despite the Ukrainian native admitting she didn’t think Mike was her soulmate, the pair gave things another go in season 8 and used the countdown to their wedding to mend issues regarding religion, finances, and family. Ultimately, they married in April 2020 and returned for Happily Ever After Season 6.
According to In Touch Weekly, the pair have been separated since early 2021 but divorce papers have not been filed. Big Mike was last seen dating a brunette woman in the summer of 2023 and Natalie is focused on her modelling career. She currently stars in The Single Life season 4 with partner Josh Weinstein.
Rebecca and Zied
Zied Hakimi moved to Georgia from Tunisia for their fiancee Rebecca Parrott, who is 22 years his senior. Despite cultural differences and an unwelcoming reception from Rebecca’s friends, the couple married in April 2020. The pair spent a brief time apart after visiting Tunisia due to Zied’s visa issues but they reunited in the US and he now works at a furniture store.
They appeared in 2022’s 90 Day Diaries season 4.
Stephanie and Ryan
Stephanie Davison and Ryan Carr have a 25-year age gap but they didn’t let the difference affect their marriage plans. Trust issues were believed to have been the main reason for their split after Stephanie alleged her fiance was contacting other women. Davison, 54, admitted she slept with Ryan’s cousin, Harris, right after she “threw him out” but she later confessed the storyline was scripted so she could continue exposure for her business.
Ryan’s Instagram was last active in March 2021 with a photo of himself smoking a cigarette in Belize. Stephanie now creates adult content on Unfiltrd with fellow 90 Day star Stephanie Matto.
Tarik and Hazel
Tarik and Hazel are the final season 8 couple who are still together in 2024. Hazel relocated from the Philippines to the US to live with Tarik and his daughter, while working to bring her son to the West. They married in June 2020 but briefly split in 2021. Tarik rarely updates his social media profile and Hazel is currently set to private so we can only assume they are still going strong.
