Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli explain deleted Instagram pics as they address feud rumours

Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli have finally addressed the feud rumours surrounding them after people noticed that a lot of photos of the Off Campus co-stars had been archived or deleted from Instagram.

The rumours started in late August, when people noticed that Belmont had removed or archived a number of posts featuring Ella. Some of the missing posts were from the Off Campus press tour, including pictures of them together at appearances. People quickly started wondering whether something had happened between the two actors.

And now they have revealed the real reason behind it. The two reunited at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, where they also appeared on stage together as presenters. They had recently finished filming the second season of Off Campus, so they were also spending plenty of time together on set.

Ella was asked about the rumours at the VMAs and basically laughed off the whole thing. “Oh my god. It is pretty wild. It’s so funny. I mean, it’s really funny because we spend all, all days I’m on set, I’m with Belmont,” she told Entertainment Tonight.

She also explained, “So, we’re like in the green room and he’s like, ‘Have you seen this?’ I’m like, ‘LOL.’ Sitting right next to him, scrolling on our phones, ‘Oh, you saw that? Do you remember when I said that?’ It’s like, never happened. It’s so funny.” 

As for the Instagram photos, Ella told E! News, “I mean, god forbid I wanted an aesthetic Instagram. My bad. I’m so sorry!” 

She also made it clear that she is still close to Belmont and the rest of the Off Campus cast, saying, “That’s my family.”

Belmont Cameli says they are ‘extremely close’

Belmont also addressed the rumours at the VMAs and said he found them funny. “I couldn’t, I like when I first heard those, I mean, I laugh every time I hear them. I’m happy to put them to bed. I mean Ella and I are extremely close,” he said.

“It’s really entertaining and sometimes fascinating the conclusions people will jump to. Um yeah, that’s certainly not one of them. She’s the best,” he added.

When he was reminded that Ella had described him as her best friend, Belmont replied, “It is true, yeah.”

Ella and Belmont had already appeared together in a video from the Off Campus set earlier in September, after the Instagram speculation had started. In that video, they thanked fans for supporting the first season and confirmed they were filming season 2.

Off Campus season 2 is expected to return in 2027.
