Look, Beauty in Black season 3 ended with one hell of a cliffhanger. We needed the follow up yesterday, and yet there’s no sign of part 2. It’s all a bit confusing, so when exactly is the next episode coming to Netflix? That cliffhanger we’re talking about is, of course, the shooting at the newly rebranded Delinda’s Dolls and Dudes, Make It Rain. Multiple characters’ fates are left hanging in the balance, including Kimmie (Taylor Polidore Williams) and Mallory (Crystle Stewart). Then there’s Horace (Ricco Ross), who was rushed to hospital after both he and his brother Norman (Richard Lawson) shot each other. And that’s where episode 8 leaves us. Given that both seasons 1 and 2 had 16 episodes split into two parts, you’d be forgiven for assuming we’ve only seen the first half of season 3. And, well, there’s good news and bad news… Is Beauty in Black season 3 part 2 happening? Credit: Netflix Sadly, no. Netflix confirmed that the third chapter decided to break its usual pattern of dropping two parts with 16 episodes, instead telling the entire story in just eight episodes. On the positive side, anyone who’s watched from the beginning will know that the wait is agonising. Season 1 part 1 landed on Netflix in October 2024, while part 2 didn’t arrive until March 2025, and there was an even bigger gap between season 2 of six months. Tyler Perry and the creative team haven’t revealed exactly why season 3 was shorter, but it may have something to do with the next chapter. You see, Netflix originally announced it as the final season, only to Uno reverse the decision in July, announcing that season 4 will be going ahead after all. So don’t worry, the Bellarie family’s story is far from over. As Perry said at the time, “There was so much more I wanted to explore and I’m grateful I get to keep telling this story. To the audience that has been on this ride with us from day one, thank you for watching and sharing it with the world. More episodes are on the way!” When to expect the next episodes Credit: Netflix Once again, there’s good news and bad news. The bad news is there isn’t a release date just yet, but the (very) good news is that Beauty in Black has a fast turnaround. If we’re to estimate based on previous runs, we can expect season 4 to arrive anytime between February and June 2027. Here’s how we got there: season 1 part 2 arrived in March 2025, followed by season 2 part 1 around six months later in September. Season 2 part 2 then arrived another six months later in March 2026, before season 3 followed just over five months later in August. So, historically, we’ve only had to wait around five to six months between new batches of Beauty in Black episodes. Following that pattern, February or March 2027 would make sense for season 4. However, there is one reason we could be waiting slightly longer this time. As said, season 3 hasn’t been split in two, so it’s going to take a little longer for the writing to take place – but Perry has assured fans he’s on the case. But you gotta watch Why Did I Get Married Again and Doing Life they are so good!!” It took just over eight months between Beauty in Black first being announced and season 1 arriving on Netflix. Seasons 2 and 3 also took roughly six to eight months from being announced to their respective premieres. So, if Perry can pull off another characteristically speedy turnaround, early 2027 certainly isn’t impossible, but spring or early summer 2027 is probably a safer bet.
