*Warning: Spoilers ahead for Beauty in Black season three* The end of Beauty in Black season three is even more dramatic than the last, leaving Kimmie (Taylor Polidore Williams) and Mallory’s (Crystle Stewart) fates hanging in the balance after a brutal shooting. Much of the season has seen Jules (Charles Malik Whitfield) searching for answers about the death of his son Glen, whose grief has transformed into a need for revenge. After escaping custody, he tracks down Sylvie (Bailey Tippen), who has returned to live with her abusive mother and ultimately decided to tell the police what she knows. But Jules gets to her first, and discovers a crucial piece of information: Rain (Amber Reign Smith) was the person who killed Glen. Credit: Netflix How does he respond? By shooting her dead. He then heads to Make It Rain, the newly rebranded Delinda’s Dolls and Dudes, where Rain is now in charge. As it turns out, Jules has been working behind the scenes with Gina (Jasmine Burke) and using her criminal connections to orchestrate much of the chaos surrounding Rain and the Bellarie family. His horrifying endgame finally becomes clear when he comes face-to-face with Rain inside her office. Jules reveals that his campaign has been driven by revenge for Glen and, with his men already positioned throughout the club, the situation quickly turns into a massacre. At Gina’s signal, the gunmen open fire on the packed club, sending everyone scrambling as bullets tear through the venue. Kimmie and Mallory are among those caught in the bloodbath. The cast may have already hinted Kimmie and Mallory survive There is some good news: although Beauty in Black season three was supposed to be the final chapter, Netflix reversed its decision in July, meaning season four is on the way. And while the season three finale leaves Kimmie and Mallory’s conditions unknown, comments from the cast post-release appear to leave the door wide open for both to return. Notably, Williams told Netflix’s Tudum that she wants to see Kimmie and Mallory’s relationship “deepen” and watch them “grow and work together to fix the mess” – something that would obviously require both women to make it out of Jules’ attack alive. “I feel like what’s done in the dark will come to light, especially when you have so many enemies. She put a whole family of people in jail,” the Kimmie star explained. “If they survive, they are coming for her. They are going to gun for her and do everything they can to reclaim their position in the family.” Credit: Netflix Williams continued, “They are both trapped in this web of what the Bellarie family is, and they both want to maintain the power and the life that they have. I would really like to see Kimmie and Mallory’s relationship deepen. I’d like to see them grow and work together to fix the mess.” Stewart added, “They may not always agree on everything, but they’ve both proven they’ll fight to protect their own.” For all the latest film and TV updates and hot takes, like our Facebook page.
