It’s nearly time for Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black to return to Netflix with season three, and if you’re dreading the months-long gaps between parts one and two, we’ve got some very good news for you. To refresh your memory, by season two, Kimmie (Taylor Polidore Williams) had undergone a pretty major power shift, going from an outsider to COO of the Bellarie family’s Beauty in Black empire and wife of patriarch Horace (Ricco Ross). The finale sees Kimmie form an unlikely alliance with former rival Mallory (Crystle Stewart). Together with Horace, they turn the state’s evidence against the rest of the Bellaries, culminating in the FBI storming the family offices and making arrests. As Horace told them: “Checkmate, mother f**ker.” Season three picks up in the aftermath of the raid, with Kimmie seemingly on top – but keeping that power could prove harder than gaining it. The Bellaries are in chaos, old enemies are plotting their next moves and her uneasy alliances will be put to the test. Sounds like we’re in for another soapy-drama-packed ride. The good thing about Tyler Perry’s show is that we don’t have to wait long between new seasons, and there are always plenty of episodes to dive into. But the only downside, of course, is the midway gap. Season one part one landed on Netflix in October 2024, while part two didn’t arrive until March 2025. There was an even bigger gap between season two of six months. Thankfully, season three is bucking the trend. When is Beauty in Black season 3 on Netflix? Beauty in Black season three lands on Netflix on Thursday, August 27, at 12am PT / 3am ET. That’s 8am if you’re in the UK. We’ve listed several other timezones below so you know when to tune in: 2am CT (Central Time) 9am CET (Central European Time) 12:30pm IST (India Standard Time) 4pm JST (Japan Standard Time) 5pm AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time) 7pm NZST (New Zealand Standard Time) Season three won’t have any gaps Credit: Netflix Unlike previous chapters, you won’t have to wait until next year for new episodes to drop. Rather than splitting into two, Beauty in Black season three will be releasing all episodes at once. There is a reason for this: the first two chapters are 16 episodes each, meaning they were separated into two eight-episode segments. Season three, on the other hand, is eight episodes total, so it makes sense to give us the lot in one go. There is one other interesting update too. Season three was originally announced as the final season, with Taylor Polidore Williams revealing back in March that it had already been filmed. Netflix then unexpectedly reversed its decision in July and renewed Beauty in Black for season four, with Tyler Perry saying there’s “so much more” he wants to explore. So while season three is only half the length of the previous two chapters, those eight episodes thankfully won’t be the last.
