It’s been a good couple of months since Off Campus first aired, and still Belmont Cameli’s girlfriend is facing issues from the fans – so much so that her family is being targeted. For context, Cameli – who plays Garrett Graham in the Prime Video show – has been dating TV writer and actress Raina Morris for at least a year. When Off Campus blew up, fans started digging into the cast’s real-life relationships, and some discovered that Morris appeared to have unfollowed Cameli’s on-screen girlfriend Ella Bright on Instagram. Speculation followed, so much so that Morris herself had to speak out, explaining that the unfollowing was a mistake and there’s no bad blood between her and the Hannah star. More recently, Bright made it clear that she and Morris are close. Off Campus’ official social media pages also put out a statement amid the tumult, saying, “Accounts that engage in targeted harassment will be removed from following our accounts.” Still, it looks like the issue hasn’t completely disappeared, as revealed by Morris’s latest Instagram Stories. Please stop messaging my family members. They are so confused. Write in your diary then go on a walk instead. Love u.” In short, touch grass. But the statement didn’t end there, as the following Insta post is an edited version of the infamous Community scene in which Britta says, “I can excuse racism, but I draw the line at animal cruelty.” Morris has edited out the last part of the quote to say, “I can excuse racism, but I draw the line at dming my distant cousins.” Those who have been partaking in this activity are facing criticism online, with some raising other recent examples of questionable behaviour towards Morris. People have not left her or her family alone since the start of that show.” The tweet itself is a tongue in cheek comment saying, “I love and respect how Hailey Bieber has zero vibes.” A commenter agreed, “That tweet is funny af and not remotely wrong lmao.” A third added, “It’s funny because Belmont fans try to do a catcha old tweets to cancel her but her tweets were funny as hell.” Others are talking about the wider issue of fandoms, including this person who asked, “Why can’t people just watch a TV show and not be complete creeps about it?” Credit: X A second chimed in, “I’m also genuinely baffled by these types of behaviours which somehow is getting worse every year I feel like… “I’ve also had my hyperfixations and fan moments here and there my whole life and not ONCE I thought of trying to find people’s goddamn family and friends???” Another wrote, “Not even just messaging his girlfriend but his girlfriend’s family members that’s so creepy.” For all the latest film and TV updates and hot takes, like our Facebook page.
