*Warning: Spoilers ahead for VisionQuest episode 7* After an explosive penultimate episode, VisionQuest is just one week away from episode 8, aka the finale. And what you might not know is that showrunner Terry Matalas already teased a huge scene one year ago. There are a lot of unanswered questions heading into the finale: Is FRIDAY really dead? Why does Ultron’s human form have the same face as the Client? And just what exactly does the Client want with Vision? Then there’s Jocasta’s terrifying plan for humanity and the uncertain fate of Paladin. And that’s before we get to the question of whether Billy Maximoff makes his return. Of course, we won’t have all the answers until the finale lands on Disney+. But in the meantime, Matalas may have dropped a huge clue long before the show had premiered. But he’s not the only person involved in VisionQuest to have teased big things for its ending. Speaking to SYFY Wire in October, Paladin actor Todd Stashwick promised that the final two episodes would bring the story to a “satisfying narrative conclusion with exciting surprises and reveals.” Elsewhere, Paul Bettany has offered a slightly more revealing hint about what awaits Vision himself. “Of course, the culmination of this show is the acceptance of who he is and what has happened to him,” he told Disney ahead of the show’s premiere. “It’s the thing that gives him the strength in the finale.” Credit: Disney+ And if you’re hoping for an emotional ending, there’s some good news: Ruaridh Mollica, who plays Tommy, described it as “such a beautiful finale” in an ABC7 interview. So, what could Matalas’s mysterious “Marvel dream” actually be? Well, there are a few theories. Obviously, plenty of fans have speculated that Wanda will make an appearance. But Matalas has been pretty clear that she won’t, saying that was never part of the plan. Another possibility being shared online is that the finale could feature a surprise appearance from Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom. It’s an outlandish idea, but stranger things have happened in the MCU. With Avengers: Doomsday arriving in cinemas next month, some fans have speculated that Doom could show up to recruit Ultron. And maybe gets collected by doomVision has a lot going on but tbh the most interesting stuff is from Ultron — Harrison (@begonalready3) November 4, 2026 As said by one on X when predicting the finale’s events, “Ultron betrays Jocosta. Steals the nanobots to make a body. And maybe gets collected by Doom. Vision has a lot going on but tbh the most interesting stuff is from Ultron.” There are many more comments suggesting Doom collects Ultron or simply makes an appearance. This would certainly make for a Marvel dream come true. Whatever happens, there are big things coming for VisionQuest episode 8 – and it sounds like it will be a satisfying ending. Demet K from Nexus Point News, who has seen the finale, took to X following the release of episode 7 to write, “#VisionQuest finale STICKS THE LANDING. Don’t worry! I think it’s gonna be many people’s favorite episode.” VisionQuest episode 8 runtime, title and release date There’s another piece of exciting news: the VisionQuest finale will be the show’s longest episode. It has a runtime of 68 minutes, a little longer than episode 7’s 62 minutes. #VisionQuest finale STICKS THE LANDING. Don't worry! That said, it could be tied to Vision and the Client’s identity. The final moments of episode 7 see the Client’s face revealed just as Vision says, “After all, family is forever.” And given the increasingly convincing theory that the Client is Phineas Horton’s grandson, the title could be a deliberate clue about what awaits us in the finale. Perhaps ‘Forever’ refers not just to Vision’s relationship with his family, but to the Client’s own family history. Of course, it could mean something else entirely. Thankfully, there’s not long to wait and find out. VisionQuest episode 8 lands on Disney+ on Tuesday, November 10, at 6pm PT / 9pm ET. If you’re in the UK, that translates to 2am GMT.
