Jackie Howard is 16 years old by My Life With the Walter Boys season three, but the age of the actress who plays her, Nikki Rodriguez, is still up for debate. According to multiple reports, there may be a two-decade age gap. The third chapter of the YA Netflix series picks up where the season two ending left off, with George’s (Marc Blucas) fate and the love triangle between Jackie, Cole (Noah LaLonde) and Alex (Ashby Gentry) left hanging in the balance. As is often the case in young adult series, many of the teenage characters are played by older actors (just look at Euphoria). But last year, the My Life With the Walter Boys star became the subject of much speculation due to the mystery surrounding her real age. When season one dropped, Vanity Fair spoke with Rodriguez about the show and her character, who was 15 years old during that first chapter. The outlet described her as a “petite 20-something performer”, although it did note “she’s loath to reveal her exact age”. Multiple sources including IMDb and Wikipedia previously listed her age as 22, but this all changed with the unearthing of some old records. So, how old actually is Nikki Rodriguez? Credit: Netflix Although she’s never confirmed this herself, choosing to keep her private life, well, private, it’s widely believed that Nikki Rodriguez is 34 years old as of August 2026. This was thanks to the US Sun, which found public records listing her date of birth as July 1992. The outlet also found she had moved from Minnesota to California to pursue her acting career as a teenager, with a video showing her graduating with honors from high school in 2010. All of this lines up with Rodriguez’s previous acting work, too. She appeared in season four of the Netflix series On My Block, made her debut in the 2018 short This Land is Your Land, and took on roles in the shows Speechless and Adam Ruins Everything in 2019. After all, she does have a youthful appearance. Also, she’s far from the only actress to do so. Euphoria’s Alexa Demie never went into detail about her age early on in her fame, but she never hid it either. Back in 2019, as Euphoria fever took off, multiple outlets reported her age to be around 24, including Vulture and Instyle. Eventually, school records showed her graduating in 2008. Now we know her to be 35 years old, meaning she was playing a teen in her late 20s. Does any of this matter? Absolutely not. Rodriguez has never publicly addressed the speculation, and whether she’s 24 or 34 doesn’t change the fact that she’s perfect for the role of Jackie. Besides, casting actors much older than their teenage characters is about as normal in Hollywood as love triangles and cliffhangers.
