There’s been another twist in the Mr. Fantasy saga after KJ Apa took to social media to slam the TikToker, calling him a “f**king idiot” and saying he’s trying to “ruin” his life – but a new piece of evidence has emerged and it changes everything. For the uninitiated, this whole thing started in August 2025 when a bizarre TikTok persona emerged named Mr. Fantasy (@iamtherealmrfantasy). The character posts chaotic videos in a Lord Farquaad-esque wig, fake teeth, oversized sunglasses, and a British accent, all the while releasing funky disco-pop tracks like Wayuwanna, Catapult, and Do Me Right. Here’s the thing: immediately, people spotted the resemblance to KJ Apa, and this became even more obvious when he filmed in a tank top, revealing the exact same tattoos as the Riverdale star. This week, he dropped a new music video for Do Me Right, and it’s every bit as delirious as the final season of Riverdale. And if the resemblance weren’t strong enough, the vid features a whole host of KJ’s famous friends. That includes Dave Franco, Camila Mendes, Alex Warren, Sombr, Rob Lowe, Nick Jonas, Zoey Deutch, Jimmy Tatro, Justice Smith, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Cody Simpson, Lili Reinhart, Madelaine Petsch… seriously, that’s only half the list. KJ Apa claps back at Mr. Fantasy At this point, the world knows it’s all just a big ruse (and a damn funny one). But this week, KJ took to social media with a rather serious tone, accusing Mr. Fantasy of identity theft. View this post on Instagram A post shared by KJ Apa (@kjapa) “There was recently a music video that was released that included a bunch of people who are really close to me by a guy who’s completely and utterly stolen my image and misappropriated my image and my likeness,” he said. “And I think we all know who we’re talking about, and it’s f**ked up… I just lost on a huge job and can no longer go in for serious work because people think that I’m a joke because of this guy.” His celebrity friends from the video got involved, with Zoey Deutch saying, “I am really sorry I agreed to do the music video with him. I had no idea it was affecting your life like this. “I obviously won’t engage anymore with him and just feel really bad about the whole thing. I hope you can accept my apology.” Patrick Schwarzenegger added, “I’m sorry man.” The latest ‘evidence’ changes everything Of course, nobody actually believes KJ Apa is the innocent victim of some elaborate celebrity identity theft scheme. The whole thing has seemingly become an ongoing joke between a bunch of famous mates who are all fully committed to the bit. @iamtherealmrfantasy My name is MR. FANTASY. Love you Nan. Now… where were we? 🤪😜 ♬ original sound – iamtherealmrfantasy But just in case you weren’t convinced, we may now have real evidence. The US Sun found a “concrete legal link” between KJ and the TikToker. According to the outlet, a trademark application for “Mr. Fantasy” was submitted in April 2026 under the category of musical recordings and related content. The filing is reportedly linked to a company called Mr. Fantasy Enterprises, LLC, which is registered in New York and California. The publication also reported that the trademark paperwork says the name has been commercially used since August 2025 – the same month the Mr. Fantasy TikTok account first appeared online. Most significantly, the US Sun claims the original LLC registration documents list “Keneti J. Fitzgerald Apa” as a manager or member of the company, which is KJ Apa’s full legal name. So yeah, unless there’s another man out there with identical tattoos, identical celebrity mates, and the exact same legal name… the mystery may finally be solved.
