Megan has a keen interest in social policy and its effects in Scotland. Through her volunteering at a local resource centre, she has seen the firsthand effects of poverty and addiction on the Glasgow community.

  • Megan's biggest achievement was completing the Glasgow Kiltwalk in April 2024, where she walked 23 miles to fundraise for Glasgow City Mission. She did this with members of the Just Love Glasgow community.
  • Last year, Megan was on the Glasgow Uni Women's Hockey Club committee - working alongside her captain to manage the development squad.
  • Megan spends her summers volunteering with children and young people at summer camps across the country.

Experience

Megan runs a small instagram account focused on the arts, where she often posts book reviews, poetry, and painting. She has been involved in various social and political campaigns throughout her time at university.

Education

After leaving high school in 2022, Megan has been an undergraduate student at the University of Glasgow studying MA Sociology and Scottish Literature. She is involved with the Scottish Literature Society and often attends their events.
