Writing about music and the arts - I love discovering new artists and sharing their stories, and as a poet myself, I believe art can be deeply inspiring and bring beauty to the world. As a journalist, I want to share that feeling with people.

  • Over the course of my second year at university, I discovered my passion for journalism, especially concerning writing about the arts.
  • I have two poems published in an indie literary magazine called 'The Field Project Zine'.
  • I moved from Tokyo to the UK on my own to pursue a career in writing.

Experience

I have written poetry since I was a young teenager, and also was a writer for the school paper in my high school, which is what initially sparked my interest towards journalism. In university, I have done an internship as a blog writer at a music enterprise, and also write articles for the 'Culture' and 'Music' sections of Redbrick Newspaper.

Education

I study English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Birmingham, and take part in societies such as Redbrick - the student publication, and debate.
