  • Ffion Williams is Co-News Editor of The Cardiff Tab, leading the publication's output of local and student news and ensuring students feel informed.
  • Ffion was previously Co-Editor in Chief of The Birmingham Tab during which she participated in her university's Strictly event, dancing a quickstep. Ffion has also met Alison Hammond through The Tab.
  • Ffion is currently studying a MA in News Journalism and enjoys writing articles ranging from breaking news to reports on student events and is passionate about immersing students in their university life.

Experience

From her prior roles as Urban Angels Birmingham's Head Angel and a past Welsh Youth Parliament Member, Ffion has media experience in raising awareness for topical issues such as sexual harassment and nightclub safety. She also has written and delivered speeches representing the interests of young people and women. Ffion enjoys writing for The Tab as it allows her to expand her portfolio and hone her journalistic voice. She has experience of writing for the national publication after completing an internship with the team last year. Ffion is excited to be News Editor this year, helping to publish important articles for Cardiff students.

Education

Ffion is studying for a MA in News Journalism as well as her NCTJ qualification. Prior to this, she graduated from the University of Birmingham with a First Class honours in History and Politics.
