Expertise

History of Art and the intersection between Culture and politics. I have particular interest in viewing how 'low' culture can be read as an indicator of larger political patterns.

  • co-Editor in Chief of the Cambridge Tab. Interested in breaking student interest stories as well as lifestyle features.
  • I once assisted with a successful ad hoc surgery on a cheetah in the bush to remove a bullet from its neck after it was shot by poachers.
  • Set up an international editorial during Covid collecting and sharing stories of students in lockdown from six of seven continents (no-one was available in Antarctica)

Experience

After editing his School paper, Alexander spent a year travelling abroad, having trained in fashion journalism at the Vogue College of Fashion. He spent time working on a Game Park in South Africa, Shooting films in Italy, and working with political think tanks in Washington DC, a series of experiences which uniquely equips him to write in depth on a broad range of topics from an insider's perspective.

Education

After attending Harrow School as an Academic Scholar, Alexander went on to complete his A levels in Latin, Classical Greek, English, and History of Art at Westminster. He now reads History of Art at King's College Cambridge, after taking a year abroad to study the subject in Rome, Florence and Paris.
