Emma Watson ditches Oxford University for vibey Italian holiday with mystery man

The Harry Potter star Emma Watson was spotted on a trip in Italy with a mysterious mullet-haired men.

Sightseers saw her visiting Pisa. An onlooker said: “I am on holiday with my husband just walking along the road to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa, when a Mercedes pulled up alongside of us, and it looked like a security guy got it, so I watch to see if it was anyone famous.

“Then Emma got out with another man.  The security guy walked with them for a few metres, and she told him, ‘It was okay, he could leave.’ I just snapped a few photos. Then we carried on with our sightseeing.

“She looked very relaxed and happy.”

Emma Watson hasn’t publicly confirmed if she’s dating anybody. Back in July 2024, she was spotted on a date in a Gail’s in Oxford. It was rumoured she was dating a University of Oxford PhD student called Kieran Brown. On 1st July 2025, a student saw Emma painting and having a picnic with a different man at Port Meadow in Oxford. The student thought it looked like they were on a “cute date”.

We don’t know the identity of the man who Emma Watson went on a trip to Italy with. She explained on the Jay Shetty Podcast two weeks ago that she prefers dating people who haven’t watched all her films, as then “this Emma Watson avatar-person will not be this ghost in the room”.

Emma is currently studying at the University of Oxford – reportedly a DPhil in creative writing at New College. She seems to have spent most of the last two years in Oxford. On 16th July 2025, she was banned from driving after she was caught speeding on Oxford’s Banbury Road on 31st July 2024.

She was spotted in Italy on the afternoon of Friday 10th October, which was two days before the University of Oxford term officially starts. Hopefully she unpacked in time?
