Ranking the Final Destination deaths by how horridly gruesome they are

The Final Destination movies are great if you’re a gore junkie because you always know exactly what you’re going to get. However, some of the deaths in the Final Destination movies are really gruesome and took us all by surprise. That’s the beauty of the franchise: You can still be so shocked by the same premise over and over. Each death is disturbing in its own right, so here’s a ranked list of every Final Destination movie based on just how badly you wouldn’t want to be in them.

8. Frankie’s gruesome car engine death

Getting into a car crash is most people’s worst fear, and Frankie’s horrid car death only made that fear worse. The long-awaited reveal of his dead body sitting in the driver’s seat of his car, smothered in blood, was a total shock. Wouldn’t want to be him, that’s for sure.

7. The smoking computer

The smoking monitor was by far one of the worst deaths in Final Destination. There was just so much going on, and it felt like one disaster after another. Poor Mrs Lewton couldn’t catch a break. First it was her computer, then the knives, then the entire house exploding. Give the lady a moment’s peace please!

6. The window pane

Tim getting crushed by a window pane as his mum watched helplessly might be one of the most harrowing concepts in Final Destination, especially if you’re a mum yourself. It all happened in a split second right before his mum’s eyes, which is what makes it just as tragic.

5. The pool drain

Who would have thought that being in a public pool with many other people in it would still mean a horrifying and lonely death? This was by far one of the worst deaths to watch, and the silence of it was just so awful.

4. The logs that plummet into the car

The worst part about this death is that the logs are just the beginning of a long and painful death sequence. It’s also permanently scarred anyone driving behind a van carrying logs or poles and I will definitely never be doing that again.

3. The HORRIBLE eye surgery

Nothing makes a person squirm more than messing around with eyes. What makes it so bad is that we just can’t even comprehend pain like that. Thankfully, most of us will never have to experience the uncomfortableness of laser eye surgery, never mind it going wrong. Watching her eyeball roll on the ground next to her dead body is just eerie.

2. The gymnastics scene

The gymnastic scene is definitely what made Final Destination 5 one of the best movies from the franchise. The suspense is almost too much to handle, with so many things going on at once and one of the longest death lead-ups.

1. The tanning bed scene

If you’ve ever watched the Final Destination movies, the tanning bed scene is for sure the most iconic and horrible way to go. Also, the scene going from the two fiery tanning beds to the two coffins is probably the coldest moment in cinematic history.

This scene alone probably scared most people into never getting in a tanning bed, and beauty salons around the world are still cursing this film for losing their business.
