Omg, Ariana Grande has responded to the rumour she is playing Audrey Hepburn in biopic
People were saying her style rebrand was for the role
Following an onslaught of speculation over her transformation, Ariana Grande responded to rumours that she could be eyeing the starring role in an Audrey Hepburn biopic.
She may have found fame with tracks such as Break Free and No Tears Left to Cry, but Ariana Grande’s recent return to acting has ignited a wave of speculation about her future roles. Some have said Megara from Hercules, and others have put forward Karen Smith in Mean Girls, but the one with the most weight is undoubtedly Audrey Hepburn. TikTok posed Evidence A: Her dramatic transformation from high-pony popstar to Hollywood classic starlet.

Ariana Grande responded to the Audrey Hepburn rumours
Audrey Hepburn, born in 1929, was one of the most recognisable actresses of the 20th century. Though in 2024 she is known as a style icon from the classic era of Hollywood, back in the day she was an iconic actress in projects such as Breakfast at Tiffany’s, My Fair Lady, Wait Until Dark, and Charade.
In a recent viral TikTok, which has since received over 2 million views, Yaz suggested the Audrey Hepburn role whilst using Ariana’s transformation as evidence. Admittedly, with the switch in style and notable makeup difference, Ariana does bear a striking resemblance to Audrey.
Speaking to Access Hollywood, Ariana said she had “always loved old Hollywood glamour” like Audrey, Marilyn Monroe, and Elizabeth Taylor to name but a few.
“I’ve always loved old Hollywood glamour—like Marilyn [Monroe] and Audrey [Hepburn] have always been my references,” she said. “I’ve always gravitated toward ’50s, ’60s silhouettes, and retro vintage … I can’t even think of a time when that wasn’t my vision board. But it’s been more fun to have more places to really do that.”
