A definitive ranking of who came out the worst after the Love Is Blind UK weddings

The Love Is Blind UK weddings were quite the drama-fest: Three couples said I do, and three had a major shock when they walked away from a forever together, the worst fate imaginable on the show. Some of the contestants on the show handled the rejection very well, whereas others didn’t hold back on sharing their true feelings about their relationship and how it wasn’t going to work. Here’s a ranking of who came out worst in the Love Is Blind UK weddings.

6. Maria

It was absolutely heartbreaking to watch Maria break down after Tom left her at the altar, but was Tom’s “I don’t” really the shocking surprise it was made out to be on the show? Did they not talk about this before hand? It all seems like a very messy editing situation to me, and hopefully we’ll get some more clarity after the reunion episode airs tonight!

5. Catherine

Catherine didn’t come across great in the wedding episodes, but we did get to see a more vulnerable side to her. She basically shut down after Freddie said no to marriage, and even claimed that “he’s not in love with me” despite him saying so at the altar. I completely get why she would be so confused, but also, if they were on the same page about these things, the day wouldn’t have happened as it did. It seems like both of them could have communicated better!

Despite popular opinion, I’ve never been one to join in on the Catherine hate train. It genuinely broke my heart seeing her so torn up on her wedding day, especially when she said “I never want to walk down the aisle again.” She’s been subject to a lot of backlash this series, so I hope she is still keeping her head up high!

4. Demi

To be honest, I understand why Demi made the decision that she did, I just didn’t love the way she went about it. I thought it was strange of her to be all “I wouldn’t have found myself without you” because girl, you did that on your own. I also just never thought of these two as a super compatible couple so I wasn’t totally shocked at her reaction. However, if they are still together now, I really hope they’re working out their differences and supporting each other – there were some really genuine moments between them that make it seem like they’ve got the legs to go far.

3. Ollie

I actually got a major ick watching Ollie’s reaction. After Demi said no, his first reaction was to look pretty pissed off and say “Why?” He also was the only man who got rejected and it seemed like it was pretty emasculating for him. Although, I’d bet my life he was also going to say no, he was just disappointed that he was the one who got mugged off on TV. It all screams NOPE to me!!

2. Freddie

I was genuinely FUMING at Freddie’s no. Despite being one of the most beloved contestants on the show, I think the drama was on Freddie this time. Why would you buy Cat those lovely earrings, write such lovely things about her and tell her family you were going to say yes at the altar if you didn’t mean any of it?! SERIOUS red flag from me. It’s fine if you’re not compatible, but why wait until you’re asked to say “I do” to drop that bomb?

1. Tom

This one really pissed me off: Tom came off really badly in the show. It seemed like he totally blindsided Maria, and if you didn’t follow up in his Instagram comments, you wouldn’t know any better. She was gushing about how much she wished her dad who passed away could be at the wedding in the shot before, then he rejected her and walked down the aisle and out into the grounds alone. It definitely felt unnecessarily harsh to viewers, and was definitely one of the worst Love Is Blind UK weddings overall.
