UW-Madison student arrested on sexual assault charges

The incident is said to have taken place last Wednesday

A UW-Madison student was arrested Monday on tentative charges for sexual assault.

Alec R. Cook, 20, is a senior majoring in real estate and urban land economics.

According to The Wisconsin State Journal, the sexual assault is said to have taken place last Wednesday at 11:30pm in Cook’s apartment on the 500 block of North Henry Street.

The accuser, a 20-year-old woman, is said to know Cook.

Cook has been arrested on two tentative charges of second-degree sexual assault, in addition to strangulation, battery, and false imprisonment.
