Our football coach is making it rain – he earns 97 times the salary of a UVA lab assistant.
Moneybags Mike London was paid a staggering $3.2 million last year – a cool $700,000 more than Virginia Tech’s Frank Beamer.
He is the 29th best paid football coach in America and the third highest earner in the ACC. Only Florida State’s Jimbo Fisher and Clemson’s Dabo Swinney have bigger hauls.
The salary may raise eyebrows when compared to London’s aggressively average track record last season, where we only won five of our 12 games.
Second year Monica Majallo said: “I think it’s a waste because our football team sucks.”
Brett Harrell, a third year, said: “He should not be making that much money for a losing football program.
“I understand how even though we lose most of our games he brings in a lot of revenue for the school, but he shouldn’t be making that much and producing no results.”
