Free tacos and enlightenment at the Fisher Museum tomorrow

Indulge yourself for free at tomorrow’s De-Stress Craft Fest

Students with Fisher@USC will bringTacos, DIY sock monkeys, Engemann Health Center supported de-stress kits, paper flowers and Ground Zero milkshakes together for free at their De-Stress Craft Fest, hosted tomorrow at USC’s very own Fisher Museum of Art.

“Even though not a lot of people know that we have this nearly 80 year old, highly esteemed art museum on our own campus, the Fisher Museum provides yoga every other week, craft days and obviously tons of renown exhibits,” said Students with Fisher@USC president Catherine Mai. “My job at Students with Fisher@USC is to help other USC students get the most out of what’s really an untapped gem of curation and creation.”

Come enjoy art with Catherine

With finals literally around the corner, the De-Stress Fest couldn’t come at a more expedient time, and Mai, a global health major and artist, is already an expert in bringing calm into chaos.

“My freshman year I brought art therapy to the Engemann Student Health Center, and students really responded well. I found that people came out while they were in the middle of taking their finals to come and paint and they were so happy. So I wanted to bring this to Fisher to give students the chance to be relaxed and happy through stressful times.”

This is a safe space I think we can actually all get behind.
