In the postgame press conference following the huge UNC win over Miami in the ACC Tournament, our precious Coach Roy Williams came out guns blazing.
When asked about the role of big cities in recruiting efforts during tournament games, Williams made sure to call out a certain someone for his use of Twitter. Williams said social media has changed the way we view the media and news in general, as we no longer need to read The New York Times to find out what’s going on in the world.
Williams added, “You know, our president tweets out more bullshit than anybody I’ve ever seen.”
ROY! What are we going to do with you? You’re our hero. If Donald Trump comes after you for this, just know we have your back. UNC is a big family and you’re one of our favorites. To get to you, he’ll have to go through us.
After their 78-53 win, the Tar Heels have advanced to the ACC Tournament semifinals where they will play d00k. As always, it’s a great day to be a Tar Heel.
