VOTE: Should UNC have a reading week?

Yale and Princeton have ‘dead weeks’

Everyone is back from Thanksgiving break– which was great, except for the fact that finals were looming over our heads as we tried to tackle our turkey dinner. UNC’s Last Day of Class–affectionately known as LDOC– is December 7th and our first day of exams is December 9th. That gives us one day of pure studying before we determine upwards of 25 or 50 percent of our grade.

Schools across the nation like Yale and Princeton have “dead weeks” – imagine that? No classes or ANYTHING the week before finals.

UNC has a few reading days spread out over the week of exams, but is that really enough?

What do you think?
