Logan Gin and Dani Nicholson are Mr and Miss UNC 2016
Now they can begin their campaigns for change
Logan Gin and Dani Nicholson took the crowns of Mr and Miss UNC before the Homecoming game against Georgia Tech.
Biology and Political Science major Logan Gin ran with the platform “We ALL Can Play,” raising awareness for students with disabilities at Carolina and seeking to bring adaptive sports to campus. He hopes to establish adaptive intramural sports with Campus Recreation so more students can be included.
Exercise and Sport Science major Dani Nicholson ran with the platform “Discover You(NC),” creating a network of allies to promote self worth, acceptance, and love to all. She recognizes the college years as one of the most challenging times in a young person’s life and wants to instill safe spaces for all students to have conversations about this time.
Congratulations to both Logan and Dani and good luck to them in their efforts to make Carolina a more inclusive and safe place for all! That’s what we call the Carolina Way.
