There is now competition for the best graffiti on campus

Sorry Bartlett

I’ll be honest – The graffiti in Bartlett was my real first love. But then the graffiti in the Bartlett bathrooms got painted over, and though there have been new additions, it’s not quite the same.

That’s when I found the FAC stairway Graffiti, and realized that it can be just as encouraging and inspiring. Then again, with an art-bridge connecting the two sides of the building, it only makes sense some of the best graffiti on campus would be housed here.

It keeps me questioning life, even when the questioning is completely circular.

In fact, sometimes it just keeps me questioning in general.

But even when it’s confusing, it remains deep.

And just like my beloved Bartlett, it includes sad stories that can be told in just a few sentences.

Sometimes, it just keeps it real, which is also necessary.

But most importantly, it has taught me the permanence of the meaning of art, and that it’s not just about what you can see on the surface.

So I would like to thank all contributors to the FAC stairway graffiti.

You have made this building a worthy, if not superior, successor.
