Rec Center closed due to no heat or hot water
And we got another snow day… kind of
UConn’s recreational center has been closed until further notice. The heating and hot water for the building has stopped working and if back on track, the facility will be open again at 5pm. There will not be Bodywise or Intramural programs for the remainder of the day.
But the winter weather isn’t all bad. At 10:35am, UConn Emergency Announcement sent out the news classes would be cancelled from 5:30pm on. Except for online classes, you kids better be in attendance.
From two snow days to make a four day weekend to canceling evening classes when everyone is dreading the weekend being over and coming back to reality, UConn is finally getting a grip on what it means to have enough snow to cancel class.
