Blackouts in classrooms caused by broken circuits

Classes are cancelled for the rest of the day

Blown circuits have caused power outages throughout the Storrs campus.

There are no deaths or injuries as Yik Yak rumors would suggest, but classes for the rest of the evening have been cancelled.

UConn alerts said:”Because of power outages, classes for Thursday, February 4, 2016 are canceled in the following buildings, which are closed to everyone except emergency personnel until further notice.”

The emergency operation center (EOC) has requested five buses to transport students from buildings without heat and electricity to ones that have them.
