#TempleGirlsBreakTheInternet was trending and Owls were loving it

It’s the hashtag we’ve been waiting for

Let’s be honest, it’s been a month since we were all together on campus and we miss it. Whether it’s the atmosphere, the friends we made, or even the food that Philadelphia has to offer, Temple University is the best school in Philadelphia. Period.

Two days ago Temple student Wahida Abdallah tweeted that Temple should begin trending with their own hashtag, it all began.

The hashtag #TempleGirlsBreakTheInternet became a unity which celebrates Temple women who bleed Cherry and White – and who are also damn proud of themselves.

“I decided to participated in this trend because I think my friends are beautiful and we all go to Temple, so why not show them off and participate in the tag. I also retweeted and liked a lot of posts to spread a little positivity to my fellow Owls.”

“I love my school and I think the beautiful women in our campus deserve to be recognized and appreciated.”

“I decide to participate in the hashtag because I thought it was really awesome how women were embracing themselves and glowing with confidence and I wanted to be part of something like that too.”

“Temple is filled with beautiful women and it’s a great way to show support, appreciation, and unity within our community.”

Although there are plenty more tweets of Temple women killing the game, there’s one particular tweet that warmed everyone’s hearts. The story of Leah Still, the daughter of NFL player Devon Still who found out that her cancer was in remission, has been one of the most inspirational stories in the country.

Once again, Temple University has proven to be a school united after the semester is over, but also easy to trend on Twitter when we want to!
