Who would want to go to MIT anyway?

As if we needed reminding how great Stanford is, we have officially been declared as one of the top 5 universities in the world.

The study, which judges the best 1000 universities across the planet, placed us in 2nd – ahead of pretenders like Harvard and Berkeley. There are an estimated 26,000 universities in the world.

MIT took the top spot for another year running, with Harvard in a lowly third.

The QS World University Rankings bases their scores on the expert opinions of 75,015 academics and 40,455 employers, also analyzing institutional research impact. It’s known as the definitive guide of global university rankings.
