Student assaulted by large group of males near College Ave
Eight to nine males physically assaulted the student
The Rutgers University Police Department released a crime alert email earlier today reporting an aggravated assault that took place at around 2:20am this morning on Bishop Place adjacent to College Ave.
The email reads:
The victim, who is affiliated with Rutgers University, reported that he was approached by 8 to 9 males who physically assaulted him and then fled in an unknown direction. The victim was transported to a local hospital, treated for non-life threatening injuries, and then was released. No weapons were used in this incident.
Descriptions of the perpetrators are limited at this time.
The Rutgers Police Department asks that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, to contact the Rutgers Police Department Detective Bureau at 848-932-8025.
