BREAKING: Car hits RU student on bike on Livi
‘I was riding the LX bus to work and all of a sudden I heard my bus driver scream’
A police car is blocking off access to Avenue E towards College Avenue after an apparent accident involving a bicycle and a car on Livingston Campus this afternoon at approximately 5:45pm.
Police personnel are on the scene documenting what happened and it is believed that the woman sitting beside the police vehicle in the photo below was riding the bicycle when someone struck her.
A junior said, “I was riding the LX bus to work and all of a sudden I heard my bus driver scream. I looked outside and I saw a girl lying on the road – we thought she flew out of a car.”
A light blue Hyundai with New Jersey license plates was also on the scene, along with police cruisers. It is believed to be the vehicle that struck the student. We will continue to update this story as it develops.
