Rutgers is releasing a new Snapchat filter in honor of Student Appreciation Day

It’ll be available only at certain locations starting today in preparation for the event

Have you ever wondered what it is like to be inside The Bubble on Busch campus? Do you think you can kick a field goal or run the 40 yard dash like the pros?  Well this Saturday you will have the opportunity to see for yourself.

April 16th is the very first Rutgers Student Appreciation Day. There will be a DJ, an open football practice, different football related contest, and free giveaways (who doesn’t like free stuff). This event is open to Rutgers Students only.

In preparation for the event,  RU Athletics has created a special Geofilter that can be used on Snapchat but only during specific times leading up to the event. Luckily, we have those times and dates for you.

Today, April 12th starting at 6pm certain areas of College Ave will have the filter and by 9pm it will be available at Livingston Student Center, College Ave River Dorms, and Newell Apartments.

Wednesday, April 13th it is available at the Busch Campus Center starting at 5pm, Livingston Student Center at 7pm and on Easton Ave to Hamilton Street at 8.

Thursday, April 14th the tag is available at Werblin Recreation Center and College Ave Dorms at 7pm and  Neilson Dining Hall as well as the River Dorms at 8pm.

Friday, April 15th it will be starting 7am-9am at College Ave bus stops, 8pm at the locations such as Quads and Silvers Apartments, and during the Cash Cash Concert on College Ave.

Saturday, April 16th is event day so the tag will be available in The Bubble from 8am – 2pm.
