What you missed last week

A look back at the Orange Bubble during the week after break

It was a pretty eventful week here in the Orange Bubble.  As people straggled off the Dinky to return to their blissful dorms, classes started and midterms were returned.

A couple of kids from that school that thinks we’re rivals, (no, not Penn, the other one) decided to put paint on our statues on the one day that it rains.  A naked drunk guy wandered around campus one night.

Fun stuff.  Let’s take a look back at the first week since that blissful week that was fall break.

Midterms

As people got back grades, Yik Yak was flooded with memes about the grades everyone got back.

All midterms are bad.  But some were awful.  MAT 104 was so bad, that the department sent out an apology email to the students who had to suffer through that exam.

And now that we’re back to the daily grind, stuff like this starts happening again.

That Other School in New Jersey

In an attempt to carry on their cute idea that a rivalry exists between Rutgers and Princeton, some Rutgers students decided to come on over and paint our tigers.  The strange thing about it is that it contained profanity directed to…Penn State.  Dear Rutgers, we are not Penn State. Try again.

On Developments at Yale

It was recently announced that Crayola is releasing coloring books for adults.  Yale students have been using generic brand coloring books for all these years and were ecstatic to start using a name brand.

On a more serious note, people did stand in solidarity with the protests at Yale, although demonstrations did not take place on campus.

The Naked Drunk Guy

There were numerous accounts of a somewhat chubby blonde student roaming campus wearing his birthday suit. He was intoxicated by all accounts, but seemed to be in a good mood based off his interaction with this guy…Stay classy, Princeton.

Sports

The football team lost a tight game to Yale at Homecoming, 35-28.  On the flip side, women’s soccer beat Boston College 4-2 to move on to the second round of the NCAA tournament.  They will face USC this Friday.

The Triangle Show

The Triangle Club had performances this weekend of their show Tropic Blunder.  Their advertisement involved dressing guys up as cheerleaders and sending them into big lectures.  It actually increased lecture attendance, as evidenced by this yak…

All in all, not a bad week, Princeton.  Keep it up.
