Halloweekend has officially been extended because of canning

What other school gets to extend Halloween because they raised money toward a cure for cancer?

This past Halloweekend, a massive amount of Penn State students left behind costumes and parties in exchange for days spent in front of store fronts raising money for THON. A majority of these students were part of Greek life, leaving those left on campus with decidedly fewer options for Halloween celebration than usual.

Does that mean that Staters who went canning are out of luck, though?

Far from it. Penn State students can enjoy Halloween for yet another weekend.

Bars know how hard we work, and they know that a lot of us spent last weekend out in the cold doing good work for an amazing cause. Canning is time well spent, and no one should be punished by missing Halloween because of it.

So, bars are extending Halloween to this weekend, and so is Greek life!

If you enjoyed celebrations this past weekend, it’s time to head out for more. If you spent time as a good Samaritan, enjoy this Halloweekend. It’s sure to be one to remember. (Or not.)
