NYU pupils earn over $50k upon graduating
That’s it?
NYU matriculants will on average earn around $51,400 immediately after leaving our violet downtown haven, according payscale.com.
This means that the person from Gallatin who spent four years developing a concentration in the theory of masculo-femininity in 17th century Basque country may very well earn $17,057 more than the national average starting salary for a college grad ($34,343).
I suppose a good post-grad salary is very much part of the reason we pay the ridiculously high tuition to attend our inner-city institution.
But even after making $10k more than the national average, we’re still ranked 71st with respect to post-grad starting salary, behind USC and Union College of all places.
I guess that triple major in Physics, Chemistry and Comp Sci wasn’t worth the late night cramming and stress after all, hm?
