Friends: The one where they go to Michigan State

How would the cast of Friends fit in on the banks of the Red Cedar?

Have you ever wondered what would happen if the characters from Friends traded in the Big Apple for a Big Ten school? Us too. Here’s what we determined would happen.

Monica

Every morning Monica would be spotted running around campus or breaking IM West’s 30-minute treadmill rule. She would then have her culinary classes, clock in at Brody for work – then get to her (spotless) dorm afterwards, ready to host the gang.

Chandler

Instead of toting around his 12 MB RAM laptop, Chandler would use a MacBook Air to type up his spreadsheets for his accounting classes – or was it business, or finances? We don’t really know what he studies, but in class he undoubtedly sits in the back where he cracks jokes out of the prof’s earshot.

Ross

Any given day Ross can be found in the Lib, guarding the anthro books. Sorry Ross, but MSU doesn’t have the paleontology degree you’re looking for. Maybe if he weren’t so busy wondering why his girlfriend, Carol, was so involved in our LGBTQ clubs, he would have noticed.

Joey

When he’s not auditioning at the Wharton Center, Joey can be found hanging out around the sorority houses. He has yet to declare a major, but he’s fine sticking around MSU for a little longer because the food is that good.

Rachel

After shooing Joey away from the windows of her sorority, Rachel would go back to putting on her game day makeup (which she learned how to do from this video) and texting the cute pre-med boy she met on Tinder.

Phoebe

Phoebe can always be found hanging out around the Vet Med Center, hoping to pet some animals and maybe get inspiration for one of her songs. She can sense it’ll be about one of those sick cats. Between that and balancing her kinesiology studies, she barely has time to (finally) learn how to ride her bike along the River Trail.

When the gang isn’t hanging out in Monica’s dorm, they all go to Espresso Royale (where Rachel briefly worked). They relax there at times that would seem to coincide with classes and homework…but somehow don’t.
