MSU Police arrested 22 people Homecoming Weekend

Were these people doing it so so wrong, or just way better than us?

For some, this weekend was worse than just MSU’s loss against Northwestern.

According to the police, 22 individuals were arrested over the past weekend. A grand total of half of the arrests were directly related to alcohol infringements. Many have forgotten, the legal age is 21, and sadly doesn’t come with being a college student. Other known arrests this weekend were due to trespassing and disorderly conduct, both of which had more than one apprehensions.

This is of great importance, especially with the approaching events of the last weekend of October on the horizon. The Spartans will face off against their number one rival, the Wolverines, on their home turf of East Lansing on October 29th. To add to the excitement, Halloween falls on the same weekend.

So, how are you going to keep from making unwanted contact with the police in the future? What can you do to avoid creating (or adding to) a record with the MSU police?

If you are intending to get rowdy (which many of you are), remember a couple of key pointers:

  1. This is America, and the legal drinking age is in fact 21.
  2. Possession of one gram of marijuana has recently been legalized for those over 21 in East Lansing.
  3. Just because you think you’re invincible, doesn’t mean you are.
  4. Try to contain your stupidity.
  5. Buddy system!
  6. Be safe.

Remember Spartans, the lower the number of arrests, the better for everyone. Sparty on!
