Blue Devils ranked as no. 7 team in preseason projections

The Duke Blue Devils were ranked the no. 7 team in preseason by CBS Sports’ Top 25 (and one) list.

With four Duke players ranked in this season’s CBS Sports’ Top 100 (and one) College Basketball Players, the Blue Devils are in a pretty good position to start the season.

Brandon Ingram comes 17th, Grayson Allen is 41st, and Derryck Thornton is 84th, followed by Luke Kennard ranked at 85th.

Last year’s preseason rankings put Duke at #2. We’ve now replaced UNC at spot #7 this year after losing our four top scorers following the 2015 National Championship win.

The Cameron Crazies will be out to play when the Blue Devils start the regular season on November 13, hosting Sienna.
