EXCLUSIVE: West Tower now announces it will close completely
It will be out of action until 2017 for ‘refurbishments’
After refurbishments which have plagued Hunter for the past few years, the planned closure of West Tower is yet another inconvenience from CUNY.
An exclusive leaked document, obtained by The Tab, confirmed the rumours of the past few weeks, that the whole tower is to be closed for the next “12 to 18 months, to undergo significant refurbishments”.
It’s speculated later in the report that “some essential texts” will be moved to admin buildings in the other towers for the refurbishment period.
When contacted by The Tab, a spokesperson for CUNY Hunter declined to comment.
