BREAKING: Warren Towers evacuated after fire in basement
It was not a drill
Residents were evacuated from Warren Towers at around 5:25pm this evening.
Alexandra Daniel, a freshman told The Tab a fire truck came and checked out the garage area.
Three police cars were on the scene.
Maddie Arreola told The Tab: “Everyone is being evacuated, it smells like smoke but no ones sure, the fire trucks and police are still here.”
The fire alarm went off in the basement of B tower. Students were warned it’s not a drill. As of 6:14pm it has been confirmed there was a fire in the basement.
Everyone below the fourth floor has been evacuated in towers A and B, including the main floor. Students in C tower had no idea what was going on.
The fire alarm stopped at around 5:57pm and students were let back in.
