Mugar was evacuated last night

Just two weeks after Mugar was evacuated due to a false alarm, late-night workers were startled when the fire alarm went off at 2:30am.

Thinking it was another drill or false alarm, students didn’t think much of it until they could smell smoke on every floor.

Papers burning outside Mugar led to smoke entering the building and someone initiating the alarm. There was no fire in the building.

Eight fire trucks and over 30 police and firemen were on the scene.

More than 50 students were evacuated but were let in half an hour later once the incident was contained.
