Threats made on Yik Yak this morning about today’s blackout
It all started with a Yak at Mizzou, and a Yak on the BU herd followed today
This morning a student posted anonymously on Yik Yak warning the student body not to go to class.
With everything that has happened at Mizzou, some students got worried about the cryptic messages.
The original post read, “Class is cancelled tomorrow…,” and when someone questioned why, the original poster just wrote “tomorrow is a special day…”
The posts by the OP never explicitly claimed anything violent, but they were sketchy enough to freak people the hell out.
The OP also wrote that he or she was told by Jesus, and the “bad things will happen on Friday the 13th. They always do.”
Those of us who are superstitious will probably agree.
A statement has been released by judicial affairs that the student has since been caught, and the rally went well.
Students gathered around donned in black standing for peace and in solidarity with the students at Mizzou.
