Jailbait Freshers

Everybody now: “I want to break free”

| UPDATED

100 lucky students are set to be housed in a disused jail, The Bridewell, after Liverpool Council approved the application.

The jail, desolate for the last ten years, will be converted into student accomodation.

The listed building has caused trouble for planners who are unable to change the cell windows, meaning The Bridewell can’t be converted into apartments.

However, student accommodation does not legally require as much lighting as residential homes, meaning the jail is perfect to house Liverpool’s ever-increasing student population.

Students will be put in the old cells, shadowing the lives of ex-convicts.

Perhaps not so surprising is the backlash from residents in the area.

Amid claims students are a nuisance and noisy, a management firm will apparently be employed to ‘keep the students in check’ 24 hours a day.

Let’s wait and see who can pull off a drunken attempt at ‘Prison Break’.
